Why Partner With Funmi Food Systems?

We are not brokers. We are supply chain architects. Every contracted volume is documented and backed by rigorous quality control at the source.

We source directly from farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives and established aggregator networks across Nigeria — ensuring fair participation and consistent quality whether sourced directly or through verified partners.

From Africa to the World, our clients trust us because we treat every metric tonne as a reflection of our name.

Abdul-Hafeez O. Odusanya

Founder & Managing Director

Funmi Food Systems was born from a clear market conviction: Africa's agricultural sector is massively undervalued, and closing that gap represents one of the continent's greatest commercial opportunities. After years of working across value chains in Nigeria and East Africa, I saw the same inefficiency everywhere — excellent local production meeting fragmented infrastructure, quality crops failing to reach their true market value, and local and international buyers struggling to secure a reliable supply.

We started Funmi Food Systems to close that gap. Not through charity, but through better markets, better infrastructure and better partnerships. We trade because markets need a reliable supply. We think because strategy turns effort into prosperity. We build because infrastructure outlasts interventions.

Our name — Funmi — means "give me" in Yoruba. It is a call to action. Give me the chance to prove that quality production and commercial success go hand in hand. Give me the opportunity to demonstrate that African agriculture can feed its own industries and the world, generating outstanding returns in the process.

We are just getting started. If you share our belief that Africa's agricultural markets reward those who operate with excellence, integrity and commercial discipline, we would love to work with you.

Vision & Mission

Vision: Thriving food systems across Africa — locally strong, globally connected and built to last.

Mission: To build resilient food systems by ensuring the full value of agricultural commodities is realised in domestic and international marketplaces.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide every decision we make and every relationship we build.

Excellence in Execution

We turn strategy into operational reality. From rigorous quality control to seamless logistics, we do not compromise on the standards, documentation or precise execution required to deliver at a commercial scale.

Uncompromising Integrity

Trust and transparency are the physical foundations of robust supply chains. We operate with absolute honesty, ensuring reliable market intelligence, clear communication and dependable partnerships at every step.

Shared Value

We engineer supply chains where everyone wins. By optimising market access and bridging the gap to local and global buyers, we ensure that as our commercial footprint scales, the farmers and local networks we partner with thrive alongside us.

Our Founding Convictions

Farmer partnership

Fair Participation at the Source

We source directly from farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives and established local buying networks — ensuring fair participation and transparent pricing, whether through direct sourcing or verified partners. When farmers win, supply becomes stable. When supply is stable, everyone wins.

Quality control

Quality Built at the Source

Quality is not an inspection step. It is a relationship. We invest in rigorous grading and quality documentation from the first point of collection because we know that reputation in the marketplace is built one shipment at a time.

Data analytics

Data-Driven Decisions

Intuition built this company. Data will scale it. We combine on-the-ground experience with market intelligence, price forecasting and supply chain mapping to make decisions that protect our partners and deliver returns.
